World Postcard Day 2023 - Limited Edition

The 4th year of World Postcard Day - the 4th special postcard for this great occasion by papersisters. Postal Hugs is the name of the game this year - yes, we firmly believe that a spontaneous and heartfelt postcard with some kind words can feel like a long-distance hug. And so we are very happy to connect with many postcard enthusiasts around the world especially on October 1!

Do you recall why it is this date for us to celebrate? October 1st 1869 marked the beginning of a worldwide success story - the first portcard ever started its journey in Austria-Hungary. Even nowadays, sending and receiving of postacard still is a beloved tradition. Sent from holidays, for an anniversary, to friends, family or strangers via Postcrossing - there is always a good reason to send a postcard or two. On October 1st 2019 many people celebrated the 150th anniversary of the postcard. Following this tradition, Postcrossing declared October 1st to be World Postcard Day. Of course we celebrate - by issuing a Limited Edition postcard for the year 2023!
